1Installing Sangoma Connect
iOS (iPhone/iPad)
- Open the App Store
- Search for "Sangoma Connect"
- Tap "Get" to download and install
- Open the app once installation completes
Android
- Open Google Play Store
- Search for "Sangoma Connect"
- Tap "Install" to download
- Launch the app after installation
System Requirements: The app will work on any device that meets the standard iOS/Android requirements. No additional system specifications needed from your end.
2Initial Setup
Login with Auto-Setup Credentials
- Open Sangoma Connect app
- Use the login credentials provided in your QTvoice setup email
- The app will automatically configure all server settings
- Allow the app to access your microphone when prompted
- Enable push notifications for incoming calls and messages
- Your business phone number will appear in the app interface

Setting Up Your Voicemail
Voicemail setup is one of the most common questions from new users. Here's how to configure it:
Recording Your Greeting:
- Open Sangoma Connect and go to Settings
- Select "Voicemail" or "Voicemail Settings"
- Tap "Record Greeting" or "Greeting Message"
- Press record and speak your professional greeting
- Review the recording and save when satisfied
Professional Greeting Examples:
"Hello, you've reached [Your Name] at [Company Name]. I'm unable to take your call right now, but your call is important to me. Please leave your name, number, and a brief message, and I'll get back to you within 24 hours. Thank you!"
"Hi, this is [Your Name] with [Company Name]. I'm either on another call or away from my phone. Please leave a detailed message with your contact information, and I'll return your call as soon as possible."
Tip: Keep your greeting under 30 seconds and speak clearly. Consider mentioning expected response time to set proper expectations.
Using Call Recording
Sangoma Connect includes built-in call recording functionality that's easy to use during any call.
How to Record Calls:
- During an active call, look for the "Record" button on your call screen
- Tap the record button to start recording
- The button will change to show recording is active
- Tap "Stop" when you want to end the recording
- Recordings are automatically saved to your call history
Legal Notice: Always inform the other party when recording calls. Recording laws vary by state and situation. Consult legal counsel for compliance requirements.
Accessing Recorded Calls:
- Go to your call history within the app
- Look for calls with a recording icon
- Tap to play back recordings
- Share recordings via email if needed
Common Troubleshooting
App won't connect or login fails
- Verify you're using credentials from your QTvoice setup email
- Check your internet connection (WiFi or cellular)
- Close and restart the app
- Contact support if credentials are lost or expired
Call quality issues or dropped calls
- Test with different networks (switch between WiFi and cellular)
- Move closer to your WiFi router
